School hours/rules
The school will be open to receive pupils at 9.10 a.m. The yard is supervised from 9.10 a.m.-9.20 a.m. / 11.05a.m.-11.15a.m. / 12.35p.m.-1.00p.m.
Classes commence each day at 9.20a.m. Pupils should arrive in the yard no later than 9.15a.m.
Classes end each day for Junior and Senior Infants at 2.00p.m. and for all other classes at 3.00p.m.
Parents who wish to have their children escorted home should make their own arrangements to have them met at the school. The person to escort them home should be at the school no later than the times stated above, as the school cannot accept responsibility for looking after the children of Junior / Senior Infants after 2.00p.m. and children from 1 – 6 (inclusive) after 3.00p.m.
If a child has a dental / doctor’s appointment on a given day, please collect him/her at the school door. Pupils will not be allowed to leave the premises unaccompanied.
Parents are asked as far as possible not to call the school between 9.20a.m.-3.00p.m. If parents wish to see a teacher, a time can be arranged that will suit both parties.
P.S. In the interest of safety parents are requested not to park on the church side of the road, therefore, putting the onus on children to cross, what is, a busy and dangerous road.
When pupils are returning from holidays in September I would ask for your full co-operation with the following:
All pupils have their slippers from the first day of term.
All pupils are to wear their full uniform at all times.
Girls may wear studs. All are asked to leave rings, bracelets and necklaces at home. Nail varnish is also not allowed.
Crisps and chewing gum are not allowed in the school at any time. Please observe our schools healthy eating policy.
Children wear P.E. gear on the day designated by the class teacher. P.E. gear consists of tracksuit bottoms and top.
