Dear Parents,
Just a few things to bring to your attention:
- Our sincere thanks to all who helped out in so many ways to make our Centenary Mass and celebration on Tuesday last such a great success. The children were absolutely fantastic and a credit to you on the day. We will have an open evening on Friday 10th June from 7.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. to give those, who missed out last Tuesday, an opportunity to view the Catherine Mahon exhibition, old roll books, photographs etc.
- On Wednesday next, June 8th, we will have our camogie final vs. Killeen in St. Brendan's Park, Birr at 3.30 p.m. We will leave the school at 2.45 p.m. Your support on the day would be greatly appreciated. on that day.
- Potter Laurence O'Kelly will be coming to the school next Wednesday June 8th to work with 5th and 6th classes. The cost is 12.50 per child. If you send in 7.50, we will subsidise the rest from the school funds.
- We will be taking part in an under 11 Camogie and Hurling Blitz in Ballyskenach next Thursday 9th June between 3.30 and 5.30. I can only bring a panel of ten players for each so I will let the children know who will be going today. We will leave school at 2.40 p.m. and your help with transport again would be appreciated. Please let me know if you are able to travel and bring some children with you on the day.
- If you haven't yet sent in the speech and drama money for this term please do so as soon as possible.
- The date for the school show is Wednesday 22nd June. More details regarding times etc. closer to the day.
- The school tour for 3rd - 6th classses will take place on Monday 13th June to Belvedere House in Mullingar. The cost will be E25.00 per pupil. Our thanks to the Parents Association, who will be covering the cost of the bus on the day. Please sen the above amount to your child's teacher at your earliest convenience. I will send out a more detailed note regarding the day's details on next Wednesday.
- A reminder that there is no school tomorrow Friday and Monday or Tuesday of next week. School will re-open on Wednesday next, June 8th.
Thank you again for your continued help and support.
Yours sincerely,
Tony Sampson
Principal
